Are You Living That🌾Boaz Life?

In the Old Testament, we encounter Boaz, a man whose character and actions continue to inspire us thousands of years later. But who was Boaz, and why is he relevant to our lives today?

Boaz appears in the Book of Ruth as a wealthy landowner in Bethlehem. He is described as a “man of standing” (Ruth 2:1), not just because of his wealth, but because of his character, faith, and actions.

🌾Boaz exemplifies several qualities that are as crucial today as they were in biblical times:

  1. Kindness and Generosity: Boaz showed exceptional kindness to Ruth, a foreign widow, by allowing her to glean in his fields and ensuring her safety (Ruth 2:8–9, 14–16).
  2. Integrity: He conducted his business and personal affairs with honesty and righteousness, following both the letter and the spirit of the law (Ruth 3:12–13, 4:1–10).
  3. Protection: Boaz took on the role of guardian-redeemer, protecting and providing for Ruth and Naomi (Ruth 4:9–10).
  4. Faith: His actions were rooted in his faith in God, as evidenced by his blessings and prayers (Ruth 2:12, 3:10).
